I'M BAAAAAAACKKKKKK!!

Did ya miss me? BOL!! Boy did I miss my peeps!! Let me tell ya, DAT, was scary!! I don't ever wants to hasta go to da vet agains, I mean my vet is a nice guy and all but I don't want to hang out wif him DAT much BOL. Iz glad dat my momma kept everyone up to date wif wat was going on wif me. She told me everyday dat my peeps were purrin and prayin for me. She told me about da #pawcircle. Now Iz been a part of pawcircles before, but I was never da one everybody was prayin for. But iz here to tell you dat the pawcircle WORKS MIRACLES!! And I want to fanks everyone dat was a part of it!
Momma also told me dat BadAndy_KityKat gotz people to donate to helps wif day vet bill. I can't fank my pal enouff. I want to fank everyone who has donated and my peeps dat RT it. You don't noes how much it means to me dat my peeps care dat much about me and my family to help. I always foughtz I had da bestest peeps in da world and now I noes I do. It made me so happy to noes dat my peeps were takin care of my family when I was in da hospital. If I could licks everyone of you in person I would. Youz da BEST!!
I was readin some of da tweets my momma wrote, geez, how embarzzing. I can't believe she was talking about me and diarrhea in da same sentence!! BOL I noes she wanted to keep everyone updated, but I fink she could have left dat part out. Datz a disturbing mental picture. Here I iz trying to get a girlfriend and she's tellin everyone I haz diarrhea WTH??? BOL I just wantz all da ladies to noes dat it's all cleared up BOL!!
Da one ting dat bothered me when I was at da hospital is da fact dat none of da little pups haz names. Dey was calling dem Pup 1 and pup 2. I know that we said we was going to name dem after some of our anipals dat went to da RB. Momma didn't want to give dem names while dey was sick because she didn't want to upset my pals wif dose names if da pups didn't make it. But since all da pups are going to be alright, dey need names. So I was finking dat maybe we could haz a contest to pick da names. Wez had so many anipals dat has gone to da RB that it would just be too hard to pick. So I want people to leave a comment or to DM me wif names for da pups. They don't hasta be just da names of anipals dat have crossed over, dey can be any names. Once we gets a list together, we will take a polls and da names wif da most votes will win and datz what we will name da pups. Der was 6 pups, but 1 pup already went to a home. So we has 3 girls and 2 boys. Da boys are 1 black, 1 brown, da girls are 1 Brindle (like me), 1 black, 1 brown. Momma will take some new pics and post dem so everyone knows what dey looks like. Dey really need names so I fought we have til Friday to make a list of names, den maybe vote at Dudefest. So pleaz getz dose names in.

Thanks again to all my peeps, I luvz you more den you noes. **LICKS**

New Update on Rocky

We saw Rocky at the vet today (twice actually). This morning the vet said that he came in and Rocky had chewed his catheter out, so he figured he'd try some food and Rocky happily woofed it down. Then we came in with some cookies that Lainey sent and he gobbled those up too. The vet said that all 3 of them had a little diarrhea still so he didn't want to send them home, and that the little brown pup was doing better, but this morning wasn't as active as she was before and that he may have to keep her for a few more days. Then we went back this afternoon and Rocky was SO happy to see us. You can tell that he just wants OUT of that place. He was wagging his tail, lickining us, even did his 'paw slap' to the face. And when we were leaving he was whining and crying. Broke our hearts, but we know he is getting excellent care and will be home tomorrow. The little brown pup was much more active this afternoon when we went in. We could hear her barking out in the lobby, so she maybe able to come home today if her diarrhea clears up. The black pup ate a little yesterday but she didn't. If they aren't eating they can't go home either. Bummer. But just knowing that they will recover is worth it. Just keep the pawcircle going for the little brown pup because she's having a hard time. She is the runt of the liter and not as strong. All the other pups at home are doing well and none look like they will get sick. Parvo has an incubation period of a week to 10 days. If they were exposed that time period should almost be up.
I just wanted to thank everyone who made a donation. You don't know what that means to us. We are normally prepared for an emergency with one of the animals, but we were never prepared for this, not on this scale. Having the dogs in the hospital is costing $250 per day, per dog. Another reason to want them to come home. The brown pup has been there since last Thurs, Rocky and the black pup since Friday and that isn't including, Dega, Bristol and Rocky's trips prior. Regardless of the cost, we would do it again in a heartbeat. I just wish we were more sucessful with little Bristol. She is going to be missed more than you know. Rocky has the best friends in the world. I have never met more caring people. Thank you all again.

Update On Rocky

I want to thank everyone for their purrs and prayers for Rocky and the pups. It's much easier to update you here in his blog then to try and tell you on Twitter. I'll start from the beginning. It started last Wed with Dega being under the weather. He was throwing up and just not himself. We thought maybe he had gotten into something. The next day he wasn't much better the next day, not worse but not better. That night around 10:30 he just didn't look right so we rushed him to the emergency ER where parvo was confirmed. They gave him IV fluids and a shot of antibiotics and told us to follow up with our regular vet in the morning, which we did. Our vet gave him a few more shots of antibiotics and sent him home. By that night, he was pretty much back to his old self. Then on Monday Bristol and Rocky started to get ill too. Rocky not as bad, just wasn't himself. Neither wanted to eat, but did drink. We called our vet who told us to give them the antibiotics and sub Q fluids. We did. Rocky didn't change but Bristol was getting worse. Before Joe had a chance to get her to the vet she passed away. Rocky had the same symptoms as Bristol minus the bloody diarrhea. We didn't want him to suffer the same fate as Bristol so we rushed him back to our vet. In the process of getting him ready to go, one of the little pups threw up and another one had done so just prior, so we opted to take them also to get tested. Rocky wasn't tested for parvo prior, we just assumed that since they all had basically the same symptoms they all had the same thing. Well, the pups tests came back as a light positive, while Rocky's came back negative. We thought that maybe they had mixed up the tests because there was no way that he could be negative. We wanted to believe it but just couldn't. The vet wanted to keep the pups, because pups that young could go downhill fast, so they were hospitalized. He gave Rocky some antinausa meds, more antibiotics etc and we took him home. The vet said that the blood diarrhea was the worst symptom and Rocky didn't have that. That was until 4 O'clock this afternoon. I went out into the kitchen to find a puddle of bloody diarreah about 2 ft across. We knew it wasn't another dog, all were in the bedroom with Joe (trying to keep them separated) and all were feeling fine. We called the vet back and he said to come in. They said even the test came back negative they were going to treat him like he was positive. So he got another shot of 'something' I've lost track actually. He isn't nearly as dehydrated as Bristol was, so he sent us home with an IV for him to give him fluids all night. He seems to be a little better than he was this morning, but still not eating. The vet said that this is normal for parvo dogs and he wouldn't be surprised if he didn't eat for a few more days. He's already lost 10 pounds in 2 1/2 days. We opted to bring him home tonight instead of leaving him there because they don't have anyone there at night to watch them. The pups had another round of IV fluids before the doctor left, and we wanted to keep a close eye on Rocky all night. Not to mention this has gotten to be pretty expensive. We are well over the $1500 mark right now and it's costing $250 per pup to be hospitalized overnight. Luckily Joe and I are both medics and we can get all the IV fluid and IV set ups we need for free, but we still have to pay for the medication that goes into them. But it's a cost we will deal with because they are our babies and regardless of the cost they will get any care that they need, we will figure it out later. It's been a very rough week in our household and I have a feeling it will get worse before it gets better, as if it can get any worse that it already is. Right now, Rocky is still 50/50, he seems to be acting better, but only time will tell. The vet told us that if they make it thru the first few days, then their chances of recovery are better. We gave the little pups their shots yesterday because none of them were ill at the time. It takes about a week for the shots to really take effect, so if we can keep the remaining pups (at home) from getting it, they should be ok. The 2 pups at the hospital we also given a 50/50 shot. We could go thru all of this and still lose everyone. So please keep them all in your purrs and prayers. I know that Rocky has truly amazing anipals and with all of them pulling for him and his pups he just has to get better. Thanks you all again.
